Sierra Vista, Arizona (pop. 45,308 as of Census 2020) is the largest municipality in Cochise County, located about 30 miles south of Interstate 10, 75 miles southeast of Tucson, and 190 miles southeast of Phoenix. The thriving community is home to Fort Huachuca, an active U.S. Army and joint services installation and the largest employer in southeast Arizona. Sierra Vista is a safe, affordable, and technology driven community, and is the commercial, education, and medical hub of southeast Arizona. In 2023, Sierra Vista ranked #25 of the Best Place to Live for Families in Fortune Magazine, because of its natural beauty and year-round outdoor lifestyle as well as the relatively affordable housing (about 35% less than the median home sales price found across the state) as well as the employment opportunities afforded by the fort.
